Vodafone (Karnataka) launches new ISD calling packs

Vodafone has launched special ISD calling packs for its prepaid customers in Karnataka. With an e-top up of Rs. 17, Vodafone customers can now make calls to any phone in USA and Canada at 4p/sec.

Vodafone’s new ISD packs will enable subscribers to call various SAARC, South East Asian and Gulf countries at discounted rates.



MTS to launch CDMA mobile services in Pune soon

MTS,a joint venture company between Sistema of Russia and Shyam Group of India is achieving greater height every month by reaching their goal of PAN INDIA presense in shorter time and launching trendsetting offers.MTS India will launch their CDMA mobile telephony services in Pune(Maharashtra Cirle) soon after launching their data services back in January.After a huge wait MTS is planning to launch their services in Pune and they have strong plans of letting their presense felt with power-packed tariff.Base tariff includes MTS to MTS local calls at 1 paise/2 seconds and MTS to Others local calls at 1 paise/second,all STD calls are charged at 1 paise/second with a starter kit of Rs.49 having lifetime validity.All local and national sms are charged at 50 paise/sms.

The Mundu Radio App is developed by Geodesic Limited, a provider of mobile and desktop solutions for instant messaging, VoIP and Internet radio. Mundu Radio App bundles music & content (such as news and sports). It allows users to select and playback streams from existing Internet radio stations, or they can create and manage personalized play lists.

Yesterday Reliance Communication announced free access to Facebook via 0.facebook.com. Now one more Telecom Operator in India is providing free access to Facebook via 0.facebook.com. Videcon Telecommunications Ltd today announced that Videocon GSM Mobile Services is now offering their customers free mobile browsing on the 0.facebook.com

Videocon Mobile Services is offering free access (no mobile Internet data charges) to the 0.facebook.com service to its subscribers for at least one full year. The length of the offer is at the discretion of Videocon Mobile Services.

Get SMS Alert for LPG Gas leakage in your kitchen

A group of young innovators, technologists and engineers of Orissa (Odisha) based RoboticWares Pvt. Ltd. have developed LPG GAS alarming and SMS system to prevent accidents due to leakage either from the cooking stove or the cylinder or even the rubber pipes.

The innovative electronic gadget alerts with alarm even if there is small amount of leakage. If no one is at home, the resident gets SMS on his or her mobile number about the impending danger.

Updated Version of 'Twitter for BlackBerry' now available

A new version of Twitter for BlackBerry is now available in BlackBerry App World Test Center. With this new version the user of this app can edit ReTweets. This version allows users to add geolocation to their tweets. In the new version, the locations of geotagged tweets can be viewed using BlackBerry Maps.

With this updated version users, while tweeting, when type an '@' followed by characters the auto complete feature pops up a list of users as you type. This is a handy tool for quickly adding a long username or if one can’t quite remember how to spell a friend’s handle. In addition to Twitpic support, users now have the ability to both view tweeted photos from YFrog and TweetPhoto. It Keep users personal information safe! A warning appears in Twitter for BlackBerry Smartphones when personal information (e.g. email address, PIN, phone number) is about to be shared.

Vodafone slashes International Roaming Data Services charges

Vodafone postpaid customers can now save upto up to 77% on their data usage while on international roaming by using Vodafone Daily and Monthly Data Usage packs.

The Daily Data Usage Packages, priced between Rs 299 to Rs 1299, provide customers up to 10 MB data usage and thereafter, customers can enjoy discounted rates and save upto 27% on subsequent data usage. Additionally, the Monthly Data Usage Packages, priced between Rs 1999 to Rs 3999, provide customers up to 30 MB data usage and thereafter, customers can save upto 30% on subsequent data usage.
