BlackBerry Smartphone Maker Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the availability of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) version 6 (BBM 6), which provides support for “BBM connected” apps, allowing users to easily interact with each other from within the BBM connected app.

BBM connected apps integrate the popular functionality of the BBM service and offer users the ability to interact with their friends from within the app itself.

For example, with a BBM connected Game App, users can invite their BBM friends to join them in a game and then chat with one another in Real Time while the Game is being played – without ever leaving the Game Applications.

Some of the additional functionality users can expect to see with BBM connected applications include the ability to:

Share app experiences with friends – When a user discovers a great new BBM connected app, they can instantly let their friends know about it. Users can simply select a BBM contact directly within the BBM connected app they are using.

CNN today announced the availability of the international version of the CNN App on the App Store. Earlier the App was only available in United States.

The CNN App features push notification; regionalisation and personalisation tools; and more. The CNN app showcases global news through text, video and photos, and also includes user-generated content capture and upload functionality through iReport, CNN’s user-generated news community.

I Rate Nimbuzz and Fring Equally, Nimbuzz has an upper hand over fring as Nimbuzz is not Stuffed with Ads.

Both Nimbuzz and Fring has Cooler interface supporting Voice Calls and easier IM integration eBuddy being Simple, though supports Facebook Chat Client it has limited features (No Voice calls and Chat Rooms) eBuddy beats both Nimbuzz and Fring when it comes to File Size eBuddy is easy to download but has limited support.

Two London based entrepreneurs have come up with a new software - SwiftKey - for touchscreen phones. SwiftKey utilises patent-pending language technology to predict whole words as a user types. The beta, currently available on smartphones running the Google Android platform. Mobile Security Center of NetQin Mobile Inc. has reported a new spyware on Android devices. The spyware is made disguised in form of a Tip Calculating application.

Google’s Android OS for mobiles is growing rapidly, in recent statistics Android outplaced iPhone OS from 2nd place in US smartphone market. And such spy apps will keep Adroid users at a edge with privacy.

The program is written such as after installing it to a Android enabled handset, it will make a log of incoming and outgoing text messages and will send the log to pre-set email address hourly. + In Milestone, the indicator LED glows lavender, to match the App UI, when there is a notification. Misses
- No support for multiple accounts.
- No integration with other chat clients like gtalk or msn.
- No thumbnail for image attachments, in the mail view.
- No indication in the mail preview, for type of attachment
- Notifications are not spontaneous. The notification does not stay in the bar for a long time.
- Yahoo Mail for android is ad supported
- Yahoo Messenger log out every time you close the application without warning. It does run in the background seamlessly like the google talk.
It’s been a while since the supremacy in Mail and Chat has been taken over by Gmail. Yahoo is trying its best to grab that spot. They want to prove a point and tell the world that they still have what it needs to be a market leader. With the new Android apps, Yahoo hits certain sweet spots and misses a few by miles. Yahoo! Search Widget for Android provides users with one-click access to Yahoo! Search. After the Widget is installed, a Yahoo! Search box is accessible on the home screen.
