Samsung launches next gen 14.6 MP camera in India
Samsung has announced the launch of NX10- a mirror-less interchangeable lens camera for the Indian market. The NX10 is available in two versions- one with 18-55mm lens kit costing Rs. 42,990 and the other with 30mm Pan Cake lens at Rs. 44,990.
The Samsung NX10 has a DSLR embedded inside the compact frame, which integrates the APS-C sized CMOS sensor. The 14.6MP camera has a 3 inch AMOLED screen and also supports HD movie recording. It consumes low power and has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 vs. 500:1.
"The new Samsung NX10 marks the start of the next generation of cameras. For the first time in the market, Samsung has successfully integrated an APS-C size sensor into a compact body by eliminating the mirror box, meaning that our users can now be as creative as they want to be on the move without having to compromise on image quality," said Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy MD, Samsung India Electronics.

Creative's EP-3NC earphones to cut ambient noise by 90 percent
Creative Technology has announced a new in-ear earphone the Creative EP-3NC that boasts of reducing ambient noise by up to 90 percent. The in-ear earphones use a single AAA alkaline battery, which has an extended battery life of up to 100 hours.
The earphones come in three sizes with silicone eartips, which is optimal for using in long hours. It comes with a 9mm Neodymium magnet driver that supports in-flight entertainment. Also packing in with the earphone are an airline adapter and a travel pouch for storage. The Creative EP-3NC is one of the lightest pairs of Active Noise Cancelling earphones available today.
It also has a push to hear Monitor button that allows the user to hear environmental sounds without removing the earphones.

MTNL Will Provide 3G and Wi-Fi Services At Cheapest Rates to JNU
In an endeavorer to provide an exclusive, affordable and dedicated telecommunication network to the students and educational institutes, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) the leading total telecom service provider has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Minister of state for Telecommunications and IT Mr. Sachin Pilot, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, MTNL and Prof. B.B. Bhattacharya, Vice-Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi.
Speaking on the new initiative of MTNL, Sachin Pilot, said “JNU is a premier institute in the country, MTNL has offered to facilitate the students of the University to access the Local Area Network (LAN) of JNU using MTNL 3G network.With this initiative MTNL would provide Wi-Fi connectivity to all the JNU Hostels at its own cost to ensure that students, staff, and faculty are able to access affordable high speed Broadband Internet anywhere in the hostels.”
To ensure seamless conectivity with the good coverage and good quality of service, MTNL has set-up four additional 3G towers (BTS) on campus to cover the sprawling JNU Campus. The capital expenditure for this is being incurred by MTNL as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, he added.
Apart from the above, shortly all MTNL 2G and 3G Mobile service users in JNU would also be able to make unlimited free calls to each other. The operator will provide Wi Fi Broadband service the students at very affordable charges of Rs.199 per month in place of Rs. 599.

Toshiba's "Libretto W100" is first dual touch screen notebook
Toshiba brings to you a fresh outlook for notebooks. It has launched "Libretto W100"- the world's first dual touch screen Windows mini notebook PC. Also released is "Portege R700", Toshiba's lightest and thinnest full function laptop.
The Libretto W100 comes with two touch sensitive screens with 7 inch display. It is mainly targeted at prosumers. The Libretto W100 can be held both vertically or horizontally as per the user's requirement. The lower screen also functions as a virtual keyboard, making the device function like a laptop.
Files and icons can be dragged and dropped from one screen to another with the sweep of a finger. Its connectivity options allow the user to surf the net, read and type e-mails or messages, download newspapers, watch videos or access social networks.
