Tata Docomo Launches Prepaid BlackBerry Services With Daily Plan
After the Vodafone’s Prepaid blackberry services, Tata Docomo, the youngest and fastest-growing pan-India GSM Mobile service operator join the bandwagon of “Prepaid BlackBerry” and introduced new, affordable and exciting prepaid plans with Daily and weekly preferences.
BlackBerry MaiLite and BlackBerry Internet Service are available at monthly packages of Rs 299 and Rs 900, weekly packages of Rs 85 and Rs 250, and daily packages of Rs. 12 and Rs. 35 respectively. Furthermore to increase the adoption of internet usage on the device, Tata DOCOMO is offering one week free trial usage of internet service on BlackBerry.Announcing the launch of pre-paid BlackBerry services and the daily plans, Mr Deepak Gulati, President, Tata Docomo, said: “We are delighted to announce this unique offer for BlackBerry smartphones. Messenger and BlackBerry Messenger. As an additional benefit, BlackBerry Smartphones can display messages from multiple mailboxes in a single inbox and support viewing of e-mail attachments.
The BlackBerry Internet Service gives customers all the features of the BlackBerry MaiLite plan, plus unlimited access to social networking sites and Internet browsing.

Loop Mobile Inches Closer to Vodafone in Mumbai GSM Network Test
The latest Quality of GSM Network results released by the Mumbai based Pyro BKP Telecom Consultant have rated Vodafone Essar as the number one operator in Mumbai followed by Loop Mobile (formerly known as BPL Mobile) as number 2 , Idea Cellular as 3 and Bharti Airtel in the forth position for network quality in Mumbai telecom circle.
The Survey data was collected during the business hours of 09:00 to 18:00 and Nokia Handsets were used while conducting the survey.Following factors were looked into it Call Set up Success rate, Call Drop Rate, Blocked call rate, % of No Service Locations, On Road Coverage Laval and Handover Success rate.

BSNL Launches 3G Mobile and Data Services in Vadodara
India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today launched its 3G GSM mobile and High Speed Wireless Internet services (3G Data services) in Vadodara (Baroda) city in Gujrat Telecom circle.
Speaking on the launch of 3G services in Gujarat, Mr. Satya Pal said BSNL 3G Mobile and High Speed Data Services which is already launched in the state capital Gandhinagar and Ahemdabad city and now available in Vododara. He also announced that BSNL would cover 60 cities and towns including all District headquarters across Gujarat by September. In Rajkot, 3G services will be launched on July 25 while in Surat it will be launched by end of this month or first week of August. We are working to launch the 3G services in all major cities in the Gujarat telecom circle by the end of August-2010.
Riding on 3G, BSNL gives several options including High Speed Internet access with faster data downloading speed up to 3.6 Mbps, video calls and also subscribers can enjoy Live Mobile TV & VoIP services on 3G Compatible mobile phone.
BSNL 2G Prepaid customers of Gujarat can migrate to 3G by recharging with a Special tariff Voucher (STV) of Rs.21 or just send SMS, “ACT 3G” to 53733 following which Rs.21 will deducted from their balance and they will be migrated to 3G for a period of 30 days. These migrated customers can experience Video Calling, High Speed Internet, Mobile TV etc at 3G charges while retaining their 2G Voice Plan. Prepaid subscriber also allow to migrate in 3G Plan-120 by sending SMS “M3G120″‘ to ”53733″.
BSNL 2G Postpaid customers in Gujarat have to pay additional Rs.25 only per month to avail 3G services over and above their 2G services. The existing 2G Postpaid customers can also send SMS, ACT 3G to 53733. They can also approach customer service centers to subscribe 3G services .
BSNL also offers high-speed mobile Internet access for PCs and Laptops through the USB Data card subscription which comes with free all India roaming including Mumbai & Delhi. Convenient 3G data plans ranging from Rs.249 to Rs.2499 are available with both Postpaid & Prepaid options.To give the customers firsthand experience of 3G, Trial Packs have also been launched. As an introductory offer, local and national video calls from home LSA will be charged @30p/min.

BSNL Launches India Telephone Card with Per Second Billing
In an attempt to boost its Calling Card services, state run telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today announced the launch of Pan-India applicable ”India Telephone Card” (ITC Card) with per second billing for Local/STD and ISD Calls.
BSNL’s prepaid ITC card also known as the Virtual Calling Card is a pre-paid card which gives freedom to a customer to make local, STD, or ISD calls from any BSNL/MTNL land line or GSM phone. Cost of such call is debited against the paid credit of the ITC. The phone line from which call is made is not charged at all. There is no hassle of dynamic locking your phone and sharing password with anyone else in the family. Each member of your family may use a separate ITC sharing the same phone line. In case your ITC is stolen the loss is limited only to the credit balance left for that ITC – no more.
