S Tel, one of the youngest GSM Mobile service operator today embarked upon the next phase of its growth by announcing the launch of its GSM mobile services in Assam telecom circle starting with 26 key towns.
S Tel Starter Pack for prepaid will cost Rs.49 and it offers per second plan (1 p/ sec) for all local and STD callings with first time recharge of Rs. 6. Company also brings Limited Period Launch Offer – Full Talk Time on all top up denominations and highly affordable Rs. 11 SMS Pack, offering 1paisa/ local SMS, valid for 30 days have been introduced for consumers in Assam.

Speaking on the occasion of S Tel’s launch of services in Assam, Mr. Shamik Das, CEO, S Tel said, “We view mobile technology as important element for advancing socio-economic development in the state of Assam with teledensity as low as 31%.Our strategy is aimed at making benefits of mobility accessible first to under-penetrated markets of Assam and then gradually expanding to bigger towns, thus aiming to bridge the stratum divide as we roll out our services in phases across the region. Tinsukia, Sibsagarh, Noagoan, Tezpur and Bongaigaon are some key locations among the 26 towns in which S Tel’s services can be accessed presently.
By the end of this year, we plan to expand our reach across 90 major towns of Assam. S Tel Launches ‘Talk Today, Free Tomorrow’ Offer in Orissa
S Tel, one of the youngest GSM Mobile service operator continued its endeavor to simplify the lives of mobile users, today launched, “Talk Today, Free Tomorrow” (TTFT) – for its consumers in Orissa (Odisha) telecom circle, an innovative and simple plan that would uncomplicate the lives of mobile phone users.
Alternatively, S Tel prepaid customers can also check their free local balance at any point by dialing *118# from their mobile phones. The pack comes with a validity of 30 days and the offer becomes active immediately on purchase.
Announcing the launch of the product at a press conference in Bhubaneswar,the capital city, Mr. Shamik Das, Chief Executive Officer, S Tel said, “S Tel prides itself in being able to identify and cater to the unaddressed needs of the communities and offer relevant products and services.
