Idea Cellular one of the leading mobile service provider in India has introduced a new VAS offering to its customers in India dubbed in as Idea Roamer Infoline .

Its specially designed foe Idea users only and is basically in tented for customers who roam a lot. It is an easy to use interactive IVR based service with SMS integration that will offer customers roaming on Idea networks with relevant information outside their home area. Customers needs to dial a short code to access the service.

Idea Roamer Infoline service is a first of its kind of value added service meant exclusively for roaming customers. It is an easy to use interactive IVR based service with SMS integration that will offer customers roaming on Idea networks with relevant information outside their home area. The customer while roaming needs to dial 56665 and follow the IVR. The information sought by the roamer will be sent to his handset through an SMS. The service offers roamers in any Idea network, across India*, information (region wise, state wise & city wise) pertaining to hotels, restaurants, pharmacies, shopping malls, ATM’s, coffee shops and many more.

Idea Roamer Infoline caters only to roaming customers and the service makes its very easy for roamers to search for information from the provided categories. The service is a guide for roamers in certain cities across India.

It offers affordable information – anytime and anywhere for roaming customers. It will be available to all Idea and non-Idea in roamers who will latch on to any Idea network across India except J&K, NE, Haryana and Assam where the service is presently not available.

The charges are Rs 3/min for a national in roamer

*The service is, currently, available in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kolkata, Mumbai ,MP ,Rajasthan , UPW, Maharashtra , Gujarat ,HP ,Orissa, Kerala, Delhi, AP, UPE ,Bihar ,Karnataka ,Punjab.
